Chondromyxoid fibroma of bone; report of case.

Chondromyxoid fibroma, a benign neoplasm of bone, has a histological appearance that suggests something much more malign. Indeed, this entity, named by Jaffe and Lichtenstein (1948), was recognised by them during a restudy oftheir own material filed as chondrosarcoma. Until their description and definition of this lesion, there is little doubt that many a patient suffered unnecessarily radical treatment.
